Amity Care Hospice volunteers take on varied roles to meet the unique needs of each patient and family. Duties include companionship, running errands, preparing meals, offering transportation, and giving caregivers a needed break. Volunteers also help with administrative tasks such as answering phones and clerical work. Special skills—like speaking another language, being a veteran, fundraising, or public speaking—are also valuable. Every contribution matters to patients and their families.

Volunteer training is required and will be provided based on the assignment of the individual volunteer. Background checks are required for all direct service volunteers.
